Writing/Book Coaching
What is a writing/book coach? It's someone who you can be accountable to, who helps you develop your skills and talents, and who can help you hit deadlines. A writing coach can help brainstorm, stay focused, and set reachable goals for your project. A coach is also, as one would expect, there to encourage you when a pep talk is needed and guide you when it's not quite clear what next steps should be. One thing that's incredibly important in this relationship is a feeling of collaboration and trust. While coaching is not, typically, the same as editing, I use a combination of both, helping you set goals and keeping you accountable and focused, but also giving you developmental feedback, and sometimes line editing if desired.
These are typically package deals that include weekly phone calls, editing and developmental feedback, as well as reading and check-ins. I don't do set packages, as each author, and each project, is unique. If you're interested, I'd love to hear about your project and your goals with it, and schedule a phone call to see if we'd work well together.
Fees
Coaching rates can differ vastly depending on the project and your specific expectations and desires, so please get in touch with some information about your needs, and I'll get back to you: gretchen (at) gretchenstelter (dot) com.
